I'm gonna go out on a limb here and risk another closed thread and state that I believe there is discrimination at work here. No one is that lucky to find INFI all over the world even Turkey. NO WAY:mad:

So, I believe that Jerry is being unreasonably kind to the Skunk and let's him in on locations of where to look for INFI, because they live in the same area of the country and Jerry wants good relations with the Skunk. The rest of us are chopped liver.:grumpy:

LOL, Cobalt, fellow oinkers, no discrimination here my friends.

first off i live about 2400 miles from ohio.
i do see jerry and crew at the knife shows that i attend and they are very kind and generous people.

i have had the same maps that the rest have obtained, as oinkover will attest. i have come very close and even stood on hollowed ground but have not yet scored a buried treasure.

i did sell my business last year shortly after collecting busse's. when not building my new house i have hunted busse knives along with others and travel the northwest looking for good buys.

sometimes i have people call me to sell their knives privately as they don't want to mess with the forums or don't know the pricing.
i usually make about 5 calls per night and receive several emails about buying or trading busse's.

i have scored some of my most favored knives right at the shows with my fellow oinkers! most all my knives have been bought from other busse collectors.

i know jerry talks to many people each night and has many many friends. i also have a feeling that jerry values each and every one of his lil piglets all the same. his business has many repeat customers and that's not from playing favorites.

in closing, i would not get any enjoyment out of collecting knives of any sort if i could not share them with other people who share the same interests.

also i have NO REGRETS! :D :D

I am so jealous of this guy, it's not even funny:mad:

I cannot believe that I am jealous of a skunk.

where's the love, WHERE!! WHERE?!?!:(

Cobalt, I don't know where the majority of these knives come from. . . High profile Busse posters are privately contacted quite often about purchasing rare or older Busses. We are rarely approached because . . . well, because we make 'em! ;) But I can assure you that there is a network out there my friend. . . sort of a Busse underground if you will. . .where Busse knives are traded and sold. It stands as the seedy, dark underbelly of the hobby of knife collecting where there are buckets of alcohol being swilled, grown men wearing rubber hog noses, others practicing the cloven hoof salute, and still more who stand alone weeping the words "No Regrets". It is a downward spiral in a bottomless trough where families and loved ones are left behind in the search for INFI. So realize my friend that being jealous of the Skunk is like envying a crack whore. . . Oh, sure it's glitzy on the outside, but the reality is dark and cold!!!! ;)

Ok, so it's dark, so it may lead to divorce and the loss of loved ones. It may even lead to bankruptcy and foreclosure also, but.... I WANT IN!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, Skunk and crack whore in the same sentence..go figure...

And why does crack whore sound so much funnier when Norm MacDonald says it??

I have to agree with Scott. I do not think that Jerry favors any one hog more than another. Does he speak to some of us more than others, sure. But it is only because some of us call him four or five times a day. :D The fun in collecting is sharing with like minded folks.
