I got together with my local leather guy and had him try out a lined sheath. It is every bit as stout as the regular sheath, but adds something special by having finished leather on all surfaces.

Looks great to me!

Let me know what you guys think...

Here it is next to a standard sheath:

And now for the backside - where the difference really stands out!

At this time......it is a $10 add-on.

And here's a pic showing the 2 sheaths next to a Black sheath - also a $10 add-on/upgrade.

Definitely lined..it makes the whole package even that more appealing.

Dan - It is very simple - and seems to be VERY robust.

I have heard, and you may want to chat about this with your leather man, that closing the top of V on the back of the sheath (the belt loop portion) weakens the sheath - your man only needs to make a V instead of closing the open portion.

Some old timers critiqued my leather like this a few times and I changed.

This is unsolicited - so please do not take it wrong.

I, personally, think the lined is hot. Would he be willing to do a dangler option as a way to add to your repertoire?

That is working for me! :) Has that Paul Long sort of thing going on!:thumbup:

For reference I'm #6 on the Bushcraft waiting list (very happy to hear this project is moving) & this is what I'd like to have with the finished product. Any chance of this happening? Thanks, Ruff Cobb

These will be offered only "on-request".

Thanks for the comments, guys!
