Well, after 30+ years of being a southpaw in a right handed world, and making due with regular rifles, I finally special ordered a Lefty!

Savage Mark II GL .22LR.

Just had a few minutes to put about 30 rounds through it, and she's accurate and the Savage "Accutrigger" is slick.

I admit, it took a few shots to break the habit of firing and reaching back for the bolt with my right hand!!!

And when I was done, I caught myself thinking "how did all the spent brass get on this side??" :D

Cool deal. I know it's hard for you guys being wrong-handed n all. ;)

Sweet...being a lefty as well , Finding the correct firearm is tough or you learn to conform.....
Great Score Bro..I like it

Sweet little gun you've got there. Nice wood on the stock, to! I've just gotten used to my 10/22 throwing hot brass in my face once in a while. Might pick up a lefty .22 someday, but I'll probably just end up getting a levergun instead. I just love leverguns.

However, my lefty Benelli is an outstanding gun. Just gave it a good cleaning (action spring was pretty much gunked solid from the previous owner) and it's ready for anything now.

That's a sweet backwards rifle, man! I've got the righty and synthetic version of that, I love it.

PS- If you're like me, you'll find that the magwell sits right at the point of balance, especially for field carry, and the mag digs into your hand. :thumbdn: Let me know if you find/try the 5 rnd mags that are supposed to solve that issue.

cool beans, man...they're accurate little bastards eh?

I have a Lakefield (same thing but OLD! and of course minus the accutrigger) and it's a hell of a good shooter.

I have a macro version - but not the parallel universe model like that - as well...a 26" barreled model 12 in .308 with a big chunk of glass on top...MAN that accutrigger is a sweet little bang switch!

Great little gun man!

Good on ya Bear Claw!

I'm a lefty too. I'll refrain from telling you that Browning released the t-Bolt in a left-hand version this year ;).

Yes Yes Yes. Good for you. AND, she's purrrty as heck! I predict you will enjoy her as much as my Mom enjoys the left handed custom knife my Uncle made for her. No BS.

Enjoy.

I am sure you will enjoy it, while there are limited choices for lefties the upside is most of them are good quality arms.

Thats a nice looking Rifle. I've thought about getting the same one.

Hard to go wrong with a Savage. I haven't tried the new trigger out yet, seems to get great reviews.....
I looked at a centerfire Stainless/ synthetic the other day, very nice.. New redesigned detachable magazine, accu-trigger, and the stock fit me like a glove.
Only drawback is they don't make it in 338 win.mag...

lefty here too,,,i have the same rifle,,great gun,,accurate light weight,,and fun,,

Very nice! I hope you can get used to the change.

I am right handed, but my left eye is my dominant eye. (an ugly combination I assure you.:grumpy:)

I shoot a long gun lefty, but I shoot hand guns with my right hand (sighting with my left eye). Fortunately, I've been able to train myself to shoot with both eyes open.

Still drives me crazy from time to time.:(

Very nice looking varmint dispatcher. You will make a lot of good memories with that one.

I'm in the same camp as timcsaw (except I can shoot handguns left and right handed)
Thankfully, Being mainly a DTL clay shooter with 12ga U/O it hasn't really bothered me that I shoot lefty but I will get myself a nice lefty rifle one day.

I'm also a lefty that has grown up with wrong handed everything. I recently got a lefty savage .300 wsm and its awkward getting used to it. When I was little I learned to shoot right/left fairly equally except for handguns so I function well in the shooting world dominated by wrong handers. Overall I like neutral guns like levers and my browning bps 12 gauge.
