Hi guys.

Got a confirmation mail from Yangdu yesterday that she send out my special order to the kamis. Now the waiting begins. This is what i had in mind :

Model: M43 2.0 (Inspired by the Super - CAK)
White Metal fittings
Wood handle slaps (chiruwa style)
Lanyard hole
Size: between 24-25 inch over all
Weight: As light as possible to still have the field-use warranty
Blade Finish: Villager (this is going to be a hard user and does not need a polished blade)
Ornaments: it would be cool to have a few engravings on the blade (roses or similar as seen here http://www.himalayan-imports.com/assets/images/millSpec2.jpg )

I hope i didnt overlook anything.. ohhhhh waiting.. i hate waiting...

JDK1 and Shortwinger are the M43 Ambassadors as i know, together with a steady group of M-43 nuts like Cpl Punishment. Your model sounds like it's all ready for battle!
30oz sounds good for 25".

If they get it down to 30 oz. at that length I'd be astonished. That's one big M43. With the design of the blade, it pulls you forward even at 20", which is the only size I owned. I can't imagine 5 extra inches hanging off the end. Sounds great though, please be sure to post pics when you get her!

I think Jay was thinking about my custom M-43. I ordered one longer and thinner than they had been making them at the time. I also added the lanyard hole. It turned out wonderfully. It is 19" and a hair under 32 oz. The spine came in between 5/16" and 3/8". It is plenty tough for sure. Yours should be plenty long. Just for giggles, mine comes in at about 1.67 ounces per inch. If we calculate that for 24 to 25 inches OAL, you could be somewhere between 40.08 to 41.75 ounces. This is only if your M-43 has the same build and specs as mine, of course, but it gives you a rough idea. I can't wait to see it. It will be the first "monster" M-43 I've seen. Here's a photo of mine, before I put the handle on a diet. Take care and be sure to do a review when it arrives.

I'm more of a CAK nut right now. If my special order comes in, that may change. . .

I do believe Wild Mike is the other M43 nut you are thinking of.

As one of the so called M43 ambassadors I will be diplomatic and sit this one out. :)
