Hello all. I am wondering if anyone has any details on a new Spyderco sharpener? I heard of it online but don't have any where/when/whats...

Read somewhere, forgot now, that Spyderco was coming out with a new sharpener? Or maybe that was a weird dream I had...

I have dreams like that, too, but in mine.....uh, well, nevermind.:D
 
probably a weird dream !:D The only thing i have heard are the diamond coated sticks for use in the sharpmaker, maybe that's what you are reffering too
 
About 3 to 4 months ago I had heard that Spyderco did indeed have a new sharpening product in the R&D stage. I did hear/read that on one of these Forums here on BF. But I didn't hear any further details. Maybe that is what this brother is referring to. :confused:
 
I recall hearing that mentioned in a post as well.

Is it just me, or is Spyderco (and especially Sal Glesser) the master of the casual bomb? They seem to just drop these gems and leave us shaking in excitement!
 
I know what you are talking about. It was mentionned by very reliable sources that they were working on a field portable 204. Smaller, but as efficient!!!

Nevermind, I do remember talk of a portable 204, but I completely forgot about it.:o
 
I remember the post about a portable sharpening system by Spyderco. Mr. Glesser posted a response that there was, indeed, a small, portable sharpening system being developed. That was around August of last year (I believe). From what I've gathered in the post, that system was to be a smaller, stealthier version of the Sharpmaker; specifically for carry in the field. I haven't heard/ read anything about it since either here or anywhere else. Hope this helps.
