Is this the new style, a 110 sheath
without a Buck stamp on the front?
I got this to see together with a brand-
new 110 that has the actual date code.

It appears to be the same as the one that came with the partially serrated ATS-34 110's sold awhile back. No "Buck" stamp on it's flap either and it's the same color.

I got the same sheath in 2008 when i got a bass pro 154 Buck 110 ,the sheath is exactly like that,no marking ..weird.

... And now it seems Buck delivered theses sheath to the German Buck distributor "Herbertz" together with the actual 110.

It is indeed nice.

Just wondering, though, has anyone thought of doing a horizontal sheath for the 110 and 112?

I carry a full-sized knife daily. Depending on the day of the week or the mood I'm in, it can be any one of several different knives, from a Case large Sod Buster to a Buck 110. Full-sized knives, like the 110, are something of a pain to carry in pocket, and the vertical sheath attracts more eyeballs than I want, really.

I found a lightweight ballistic nylon sheath with no brand markings on it, and the straps on the back allow carry either vertically or horizontally, depending on which way you thread the belt through. This sheath was actually meant to carry a pistol magazine, but it just happens to be perfect for a full-sized folder.

The fact that it a) has no branding logo, and b) lays along the belt line, makes for a nice, unassuming and discreet way to carry a big knife without the "hey, what choo got dare, man?" looks that often accompany a four-inch or five-inch vertical case.

So, would an idea like that possibly gain any traction?

ArfinGreebly the nylon Buck sheaths are like what you described, but they do have the Buck logo on them. Some here enjoy them for the opptions in carry style. HL

Haebbie I noticed that my BP came in a sheath like the one you have pictured, I will need to check my second BP to see if it is like it also, plus I will need to dig out my ATS34 blade 110 to check it also. HL

Great Informations, guys!!

It seems that the sheath without the stamp on the flap is the standard for resellers who has
the own logo. May be that Buck makes an individual stamp on it. I remember "champion" has an
individual stamp on the flap , or the ducks unlimited Duck head in gold. Or the seller makes the
stamp/print by himself.

The overflow of the production was sold overseas to protect the standard of the established
product in the U.S.A.

I have to open up my eyes to find some more of the things never been sold in the States.
Nice to have and good to sell ;) ;) :) :)

I use the cordura nylon vertical/horizontal 110 sheaths mostly during hunting season when in and out of the truck a lot. Hardly know it is there.

Buck thought of it a few years ago. I don't remember the years it was available but here it is. It does carry the name "Buck" on the flap but it's still pretty discreet.

I just picked up a 277 Alpha from 2003, and it has a vertical/horizontal carry. I'd guess it could be done for the 110's.

Scott, the horizontal carry sure seems like a good idea and I wish I could, but it doesn't work for me. I don't have enough room on my belt for them that way. I carry my cell phone on my right side (where I would carry the knife) and I run out of room.

Maybe if my trouser waist size was 40" instead of 31/32, I wouldn't have that problem. :o

I'd gladly carry vertical, to trade for a 40" waist or for a 31/32. I think I was 12 or 13 years old the last time I saw a 31" waist....now I can carry 2 hand guns, a knife, a multi-tool, a cell phone, a flashlight & a beeper :p;)

I carried my 276 Alpha Hunter this way for a while. It fell out of the sheath one night when I was hog hunting and I didn't notice that it was missing until after dark. Needless to say I went back to find it the next morning. Fortunately I found it, but the scales on one side were messed up due to it being in wet grass all night. I was able to re-finish the scales and it is "good as new". By the way, it is a daily carry knife and at the Bass Pro several years ago, Chuck signed the blade for me. I bought two more Bucks that day and he noticed that I was carrying one and he asked if I would like it signed also - a no-brainer. I would have hated to have lost it. By the way, I no longer carry it horizontally.

Wilbill, Thats the reason I don't carry in that manner. The sheaths that I got with the build out 110's with charcoal slabs and ATS-34 blade was the standard black with Buck on the flap and 3 times on the snap.? Dave, I can still wear a 32" as well. :) DM

David, I can wear 32's but I really need to wash them in hot water and dry on high first, otherwise they are a bit loose. I'm the only guy in my circle of friends whose leg length number is larger than my waist length number. Bet you are too! :D

My buildouts like yours also have the standard sheath with Buck on the flap.

The Seven-Pocket pants and shorts from Cabela's could really be a help to some of you guys.

:)

OK....Dave & David & wildbillw got me thinkin'.....and now I'll never be able to horizontal carry for fear of loosing a knife...or having it fall to a place I'm unable to retrieve it.... returning me to the thought..."if it ain't broke....don't fix it"
