Just when I thought I had enough Emersons they go and make a 4 inch tanto, oh well, time to start saving.

For you guys in the know, It seems odd to me that this knife lacks a wave and the contoured handle of the SOCFK. It looks like a great knife and it's about time Emerson added a bit of length to the blades but with the great handle of the Specwars/SOCFK's and wave, this knife would be even better. What do you guys think?

Also, I haven't heard of I & I before. Do they have a website? How much do these baby's cost and do they come with a plain edge?

Thanks in advance.

Peter:

The I&I Sports Emerson Tanto is only Black T, Serrated NOW. It may be introduced in different configurations at a later date. Cost is $165 + shipping. I&I Sports' website is http://www.iisports.com but I'm not sure if the knife is listed yet. See my post in this forum titled "New Model..." to get their phone number and place an order. They are all serial numbered (mine is #133), and they are all in stock at I&I. Enjoy, it's a great knife! Here's mine:

My I&I Sports Tanto arrived today, this time I was at home and didn't have to retreive it from under my pine trees! The blade is like the SOCFK but a little longer. The handle is without the SOCFK contours but except for the ramp for your thumb caused by the "Wave", I cannot discern any difference. I really miss the "Wave" becuase of that ramp and of course the opening action and only hope that this blade size and handle is evetually offered with the "Wave" and a non-serrated blade. My favorite Emerson for carry continues to be the SARK which is becoming an excellent all around knife!
