I saw my first straight razor 2 yrs ago that a neighbor had. I did the research for her and it ended up being an expensive collectors dream. Thats all I remember, but in my travels I got one that I can not identify. Please help me. The blade is marked "Nelson" on one line
"Knife Co" on the next line

on the opposite side of the blade stamped in blade is: Made in Germany

Can anyone point me in the right direction? There is some minor wear on the handle, and its so dark I can not tell what material that it is made with. The hunt is so exciting to me, its like the "hunt of man" ~ Ernest Hemmingway.

Thank you in advance for any clues you might be able to give me!

A lot of straight razors were made in the 1920s and 1930s in Germany. Nelson is a name that reminds of the fellow that started creating knives for people with one hand. There was also a Nelson maker out of Sheffield. A lot of Sheffield work was done in Germany during the same period.
