I was wondering if Texas Knife Supply is a good company to order from. I am thinking of getting a dagger blade and some linen Micarta to experiment with. Is the "deep-freeze" treatment on the blade worth the extra few bucks? Is Micarta a pretty easy material to work with? I read somewhere that it is, but since my only tools would be files, Dremel and sandpaper I need to know just how easy it is. Thanks in advance!

I am a newbie too, I have ordered several hundreds of dollars of materials from texas knifemakers supply, I have ordered several of their kits, I would suggest buying one of those, it comes with diamond wood as a handle material, and it is very easy to work with, and I think looks more interesting on a handle. I have gotten some of my blades from them with the cryo treatment, and some with out. The kit blades are not the best, but the cryoed ones seem to hold an edge better than the ones without in my experience.
