Hi ! I am thinking of adding some tritium tubes( from a used watch) to my pistol sights. Anybody know what adhesives are used to take the pounding ? Thanks.

Generally, the tritium pistol sights are tiny chips of the radioactive material set into small 'O' rings and then pressed into holes bored into the sights. Probably the best adhesive you could get would be from a dentist or jeweler. Dentists use some really potent stuff fitting crowns, etc., and then guarantee them for up to five years.

You mentioned 'tritium tubes.' If your's are small tubes, mike them for diameter and bore just slightly larger holes, perhaps two to three thoudandths larger, then fit the tubes with thinned epoxy or quality glue.

Also and strictly IMO, the best new handgun sights are the 'Heinies' which use two dots to form a figure 8 rather than three dots like older sights. Some of the new tritium sights are Heinies and I really like them. Just form a figure 8 with the two dots, the front dot or circle on top, and you're right on.

I also like Heinie sights. I like to use a front night sight with a plain black rear sight. I only use the front sight for defensive purposes anyway.

I can't provide any good info on adhesives. I'd imagine a good clear epoxy would work.

I personally like Trijicon night sights.

I would take tritium from a watch & use those as my night sights.
