No wiring diagram for this motor...help.

Okay,
I can't find a wiring diagram for this motor. I have a picture of the info plate on it. It has 9 wires coming out of it numbered 1 to 9.

It is a 3 phase motor, can be wired 230 or 460v....I want 230v. I would appreciate any help on how I need to wire this. I can't find a wiring diagram on line.

check here http://www.ecmweb.com/electrical-testing/motor-wiring-part-2 will be 1, 6, 7 to phase 1. 2, 4, 8 to phase 2. 3, 5, 9 to phase 3. if rotation is not what you want, reverse 2 of the phases.

You can search images ”3 phase motor wiring” will easily turn up results. Your nine wire 3Ø motor is a standardised thing no matter what manufacturer. Your example will connect as ”low voltage” diagram.

Having all wires factory labled is critical to easily connecting a motor. Without those labels its much harder getting it right.

I'm not an electrictian, but my daughter is dating a second year apprentice electrician. Lucky me....haha...so I put him on wiring 220 into my garage and setting up my home made grinder. But I guess being an apprentice he didn't know this was a common wiring set up and had me trying to find the wiring diagram for that brand. It's tough to get good free labour these days. He mentioned how good it was that all the labels were there on the wires too.
Thanks for the info. I will have questions about setting up my vfd soon too.
