Norlund axe question

Hello,

The Norlund axe here...

appears quite similar to some Snow and Nealley models. Does anyone have any ideas about the quality, manufacturing process, steel used, etc. in these old Norlunds?

A bought an old Norlund off E~bae and I am happy with it, they are pretty good axes/ hatchets. Maybe you can find a bargain you can use and not be adraid of dinging it up a little.

I found a similar one hammered into a campground stump.
Took a while to get out, they eye is a little bent, but it has served me well for at least 15 years.
Chops nice, splits well.
For its size that is.
