Northern Light Series, model NL4 Frey and convex blades

I own an NL4 (as well as an NL2 and an A1), and I use it at least once a week.

It is an excellent utility knife, and is good for butchering and food prep.

It takes a scary sharp edge, and holds it for a long time.

At the moment, I think it is the most beautiful knife I own.

The leather handle is well shaped, and remains grippy when covered in blood or fat.

Once you learn to sharpen/strop a fully convex blade you’ll never want to use anything else.

Thanks djolney, that's what I wanted to hear. In the next few months I am going to order one, I like what I have read about it.

rs422,

Glad what I wrote was helpful.

Don't wait too long to order the knife. Peter (who owns Fallkniven) had two heart attacks last year, and is in the process of arranging to sell the company. There might not be too many more NL knives if the company is sold.

I want an NL3 as soon as possible to keep my NL2 and NL4 company.
