The handle looks like a Buck anvil, the blade slides into a base that looks like a log.

Assuming it’s a kitchen knife, we have a few sizes of chef knives, bread knife, cleaver, breaking knife, paring knives, spreader, meat fork…

What’s left? Pizza cutter has been guessed. Put my guess down for a potato/sweet potato peeler.

Joking aside, I’m not at home enough in the kitchen to know what’s left that Buck hasn’t already given us.

Forgive me, not a Buck knife, but I love Ulus. They are very useful for chopping food. This one is from a Native Alaskan gentleman, made of caribou antler and an old saw blade. I got it by asking around during a trip to Quinhagak.



If Buck makes one, I hope it calls to traditional ulu design.

Has Buck ever made a bread knife? Spyderco makes one, case, boker, kershaw, even Tops has a bread knife. Is the Tops a tactical or a survival bread knife? I don’t know. But it is the only bread knife I found that came with a kydex sheath and rescue whistle.

Yes, sir! The 932 Slicer is an excellent bread knife. It works great for my wife’s pound cake, too. The lemon for the icing is home grown, and the cake is amazing!
