My newest addition. In my pocket currently! Larry Davidson Avenger with a bit of dress:) Snakewood, Sakmar tri-color Mokume, 4" of 420V, and titanium! LD did full dual color anodization and filework on the liners, jeweled the liners and nuggeted the inside of the spacer as well... I am seriously pleased with this one. It has a tough grind on it and Larry nailed it. Fit and finish are great and it feels SWEET in the hand.

Bro, that is one Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet looking knife! Larry just keeps on outdoing himself. Congrats! :D

Sam--

Congratulations! Absolutely Beautimus. That is one dressy folder, with a very striking blade profile. The snakewood is breathtaking.

Will that one fit in my sock?

Thanks guys. It is always fun to show off a new one from time to time!

Will It would fit in your sock but it won't:)

-Sam.

I had to pull out my own LD Dubble-Trubble blade and open and close it a dozen times. Just because.

Man, you got a sweet one. I still can't figure out his dual-colored anodizing process, and that nugget work on the spine is awesome. Jeweling, mokume, and ironwood dress it up even more. Great choices.

Tell us about the 'snap' when it locks up. Tell us about that roller bearing action. Tell us what a pleasure it is to deal with a master machinist/artist.... C'mon, tell us!

No don't! Soon he'll be COMPLETELY booked... ;)

Thanks for the looksee. Nice score. Good work.

Sammy,

I always knew you had good taste. That is a beauty, congratulations!!

Sam didn't tell of his involvement in this design so I will. He thought a scimatar shaped blade would be pretty interesting so he sent me a couple of .jpgs of scimitar sword designs he had seen and wondered if they could be modified to fit folder constraints. We played with the idea a while. Had a few lines drawn in AutoCad. Looked pretty cool, but handle shape wasn't quite right so in an exchange with Ferret I sent the files down under. Ferret played with the lines a little and betwixt us this is the resulting design. As I look at the original drawings and the evolution of the lines in the revised drawings between Sam,Ferret and I, it is it interesting how an idea and some squiggly lines on a computer screen can become something you can hold in your hand. I guess from the first time I saw a machine shop and something useful created from a simple idea I was hooked. (Heck it doesn't take much to impress me.) Well, on to the next one. Just wanted the others involved to get the credit they deserve. Chilly bean and Ciao!!!

And thanks for the information and post guys...WOW!

I am in trouble now. I left off the credit for naming this piece. So now you all know my secret...I've never had an original idea in my whole, entire life. :) So you all can blame Dave Stark for the "Avenger" being called, well the Avenger. For all the rest of you that I've stolen ideas, designs and names from, just wait, I'll get around to crediting all of you for all your inspiration and predilection. You've made me the maker I am today:D

That is a super nice knife. Ive got one on order from Larry, and seeing that made me all the more anxious! Congratulations on an impressive piece.
