It seems that up in the Northern Territory here in Oz thieves have taken a step up in their business. They are now taking railway bridges. Yep, that's right, one day there is a railway bridge, the next day there is a big gap where the railway bridge used to be. So far this year they have stolen eleven railway bridges.

Anyone need cheap bridge ..................... :)

That's heavy liftin' Gajinoz. Sounds more like aliens or the industrial strength El Chupbrigecabra!
 
Yeah I heard an interview with the MP for that area on the radio last night, he figures they come in with a big truck and crane and have a lot of acetylene torch experience. He said theres been 13 or so bridges done, some with historical value..something I did not know was that the Northern Terr. were actually bombed by the Japanese during WWII.
Around here some people make beer money from stealing the copper grounding bed wires from the Hydro substations. Best not to do this, or at least do it sober. Every now and then Darwin claims one of his own this way.

Thanks for the link. Thats interesting about them stealing historical bridges and all. What suprised me was the statement that they had to be professionals because they didn't wear thongs.....maybe I'm thinking of a different kind of professional. :)
