In today's newspaper, there is this listing:

GREAT WHITE Pit puppies, (American Pit bull Terriers & Great White Pyrenees.) , free to good home. 839-4356 West Fork

What the heck?!?

Both are magnificent breeds....nearly total opposites.

What is this dog going to look like?

I tried calling....no answer...just a faint answering machine.

What's next - a pit-bull-poodle mix?

Everybody seems to be "doodling" dogs....why not these?

What would the name be?

Piddle?

:D  :p

:barf:

Reminds me of an add I saw years ago;

Free to good home, Mother AKC Black Lab, Father SOB fence jumper.

This is the M-I-Ls dog......a daschund / boxer mix. I will try to get a full body shot, but you can see the stubby legs in this picture. By the way.....the father is the daschund!!!

My dog growing up was a part beagle part something else. Mixed breed dogs can be really cool. But you never really know what your going to get.

I once saw a dog at the pound. It was a Basset hound Great dane mix. Honest. The strangest thing I ever saw. I wanted it but the one who must be obeyed nixed the idea. To this day we still refer to that dog as Scooby Don't.

One day I was walking my beagle at a local park and came across someone walking two basset hound-labrador retriever mixes. A few minutes later, we passed a different person with a basset hound-golden retriever mix! That was one weird walk....

The dogs all had legs shorter than the usual retriever, long thick bodies, and heads like retrievers - but I bet the basset - Great Dane mix looked even stranger!

My wife had a pitbull great dane mix. His name was Brutus :D

My grandpa's neighbor's dogs had pups together. Dad was a dachshund, mom was a doberman. They looked like dobermans that had been chopped off at the knees!

great thread:D
i have 2 dogs
polly, a black lab (nothin weird there)
and
vincent, a beagle/australian heeler mix, dad was a roamin beagle and mom was a blue heeler (the dog in the Madmax Roadwarrior Movie), the litter was pretty funny looking:D colors ranged from black and gray blue heeler to the peanut butter shake speckled red heeler
He's really wild looking like a heeler 'cept for the beagle ears, hilarious
a normal dog couldnt hack it at my house! so he fits right in

The funniest looking dog I ever saw was a Basset/German Shepherd mix. The poor dog's genes had NOT mixed well.... He had a.. more or less, Basset front half and a Shepherd back half. He could hardly go down stairs and the little boys who owned him could hardly walk because of laughter.

Best dog I ever had was a mix breed. Father was a full blood Japanese Akita (that couldn't seem to stay in his own yard), mother was a full blooded Blue Heeler. Imagine a Blue Heeler that weighed 125 pounds, and not an ounce of fat! Wish I could find pics of him, but I think they all were in a box that got soaked when my storage got flooded.
