Okay, time to speak up. This thread is a poll for choosing the color of the Almite to be used for a proposed ZDP-189 Lum Chinese folder sprint run. As well as choosing between laminated ZDP-189, and solid ZDP-189.

Rules:

POST ONLY ONCE

1. Give your color suggestion

The only colors OFF of the table are the original jade green and gunmetal blue. The value of the prior editions of the Lum Chinese folder cannot be compromised by this proposed edition.

DO NOT suggest different handle materials, lock changes, or anything other than a color of Almite for the original aluminum scales. If you want titanium colored almite post here, if you want to talk about titanium, then please post to the original thread.

2. Give your preference for laminated or solid steel. Available laminations include 420J2/ZDP-189 and ATS-34/ZDP-189. Feel free to add your lamination preference if you vote for a laminated blade.

Also feel free to post any other thoughts or suggestions on a ZDP-189 Lum Chinese sprint run to the original thread.

1.Type III HA coating (like on Surefire lights)
2. laminated but not a must for me.
Edit to keep from adding to many post in the thread. In case anyone is wondering what HA III natural looks like here it is on a Surefire.I have only seen two shades of it it and both shades are on this light. The darker grey comes out on the body and the lighter greenish grey comes out on the bezel. Not sure why this is but I like both colors of the HA III Nat.
BTW I have a Surefire and a ARC with this coating and it is very hard to scratch.

1) Laminated ZDP-189/ATS-34, with a Gold Spyderbug on the blade.

2) Maroon/Burgundy Almite scales, darker than the Calypso Jr.

3) Black Pocket Clip.

4) Torx screws

5) Anodized Liner.

I would like a dark blue handle, burned orange a second option.
Don't really like the burgundy, but I would want it anyway, whatever the colour.
Laminated blade please, if possible with a pollish to show off the lamination line more clearly.

Is a ZDP-198/ATS-34 laminate still an option?
The Delica was supposed to have it but was changed to solid ZDP-189 along the way.
ZDP-198/ATS-34 would possibly be more scratch resistant, ZDP-189/420J would be tougher.
Fallknifen is selling knifes with VG-10/420J blades for years with good results.
They perform good and are really tougher then most solid blades.

Thanks for your effords Carlos, I hope they will be rewarded.
We can get a wonderful knife out of this, performing beter then anything on the market and by no means "fugly".

1. Plum

2. Solid (much as I like the lamination line on the Caly Jr, fact that it's nearly twice as wide on one side as the other makes me favor solid)

Type III HA

ZDP-189/ATS-34 laminated
(if a choice must be made, but either laminated or solid will be fine in the end for me)

I'm with Deacon, Plum with a solid ZDP189 blade

Solid ZDP-189 blade Diamond DLC from bodycote for rust/scratch resistance.

If you want pretty - deep royal blue
OR Type III HA coating

As long as it's highly rust/scratch resistant

Dark purple (kind of a variation on the burgundy, to keep it in the ZDP family)

Solid ZDP

1. I don't care what color handle. Pink, purple, plain, polka-dot, it doesn't matter to me.
The more I think about a Type III hard anodize, the more I like that idea.

2. Laminated blade.
