Gee, Bruce. In addition to your other stellar qualities, you're a brave man as well. To keep going after that first one took a lot of courage!

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

Well, you have come a long way, that's for sure. The grind lines on that little knife I just posted actually looked very similar to your first knife until I dressed it up. I like your little folder a lot. Do you use it? I'm still thinking I'd like to see a friction folder from you....

See I told you guys that I started out worse than everybody else.I do have the rite to cry at your first knives. This just proves that with determination and hard work anything is possible.I just wish that I would have had something like the forums here back then.
So when I finish one now I do amsze myself and get all blowed up like a frog and want to crow as well.
I did learn the hard way at the school of hard knocks and I learned many a lesson of what not to do and I still am learning those lessons today.
No my wife won't let me use the little folder becuse she doesn't want anything to happen to it.

Do I win the ugliest knife award !!

Yes you win. That is the ugliest knife Ive ever seen. My first knife is even better looking than that. After making it I bet you made a giant commitment to improve. Ha HA HA HA. I feel so much better now. I think we all do. Bruce B

Geez, Now I feel bad. Im sorry. Your first knife isnt all that bad. It kinda reminds me of a Scrade I had once. You really have improved alot since even the 100th one, and its nice. Do you keep track of how many like numbering them? Humble Bruce B

Don't feel bad Bruce,I know how ruff it is and you are correct in saying what you said.I was just trying to inspire some of the guys around here, and let them know that not everybody starts out with really nice work.
Now come on everybody lets see some PICTURES of your first knives !!!! I know that they can't be any worse than mine.

Oh yea Bruce,I quit counting a little over 3 years ago.I used to number each one back then,But then I started having people want me to make a set and number them as such and so I just quit trying to keep track of how many I have done.I do know that I am lucky if I can get a couple dozen a year done now though. So I just put the year they are made on the back side of the blade.
