It was a good Christmas. I now own a new Brusletto (?)Falcon (?wulf) beautiful knife, made by artists, lovely and practical; AND a Mora 2000--also lovely, much different manufacturing approach, practical: AND an old Marbles bakelite pommelled "user" with a ground tip....

So, if you had these three choices, and were going backpack fishing, hunting, etc..for a week... Which would you use, and why?

Since you're a fellow cheesehead, I'll tell you right off .....
the answer here is always "Sebenza". And yes, its worth every penny.
Hope you enjoy yourself here. (I'd pack the Marbles, but I'm kind of an old phart.)

I would classify any one of these knives as a user. The Falken has a short blade and might not be as useful as a camp knife. The 2000 is a pretty good all around knife and would make a great choice. I don't know which Marbles knife you have, but I would say that it would probably also make a very good choice to take along.

If I had to choose just one it would probably be the Mora 2000. I just like those Norwegian knives. If I had the choice I would take the Mora and the Marbles.

Ah, the Marbles is a Woodcrafter that someone broke the tip off, then re-ground. Sad, but a neat old knife. The Mora 2000, well..does everything well, and seems bullet-proof--almost clinically efficient, and the Brusletto is almost too pretty to use.
What prompted this is...I always pick up the old Marbles...and KNOW that the others are as good...but all those pits, the scars of life on the Marbles...speak to me somehow....goofy, I suppose, but I smile at it in use...like I rescued an old friend.

silly me.
