Ya know how the instructions show the "easy" way to close the blade by depressing the backlock and then swiffin the knife down and the choily part that isn't sharp is stopped by your finger?
Well, .... I ..... got ONE lil slice (just skin) from doing the "reach" to close the blade with the one hand method.
Makes ya REAL CAREFUL when doin it again.

Anyone else?

:D

No bites from the Native but a couple from the Endura doing the same closing manuever. ;)

I had a Goddard bite me once. The big blade swung too easily when I released the lock and it got me. Don't have the Native III yet, but the II I have is way too stiff to do it.

i got bit by the serrations lightly. not a drop of blood was drawn but it stung for a period of time.

I stick my index finger in the hole when closing one handed. This prevents the blade form closing on my fingers.

None of my Spydie cut me, but my BM Pika did (when I tried to close it with one hand).

I dont understand how you're closing it, but I must have been bite about 3-4 times by the serated part when I first got the knife. Now I close it this way:

Also, I second this comment:

I eventually get bit by every knife I own. It's not really mine until it does.

Maybe I was fortunate....I had the Native III and the S30V native for a short while each and never got cut...but then, lockbacks, in my opinion, aren't as fun to play with as my other spydercos (compression and bb locks) so I didn't toy with them much.

I agree. tht being said I've got bit by the native just not when closing it

Only Spydy bite was from my Civilian, showing a mate how the blade shape and serration work in a slashing motion. Went straight through the 20 sheets of rolled up newspaper like a hot knife through butter, then continued to slash through a new pair of Levis that I was wearing and leave me with a 2 inch slice wound on my thigh. Not very clever.
