Steve I have one of the older Enduras with the integrated plastic clip or it used to have a clip. Can you grind down whats left and replace it with one of your lowriders that would allow me to still use the lanyard hole?
 
No I've tried and it was so thin I can't say I would trust it. The hole in the center is just too large. You can still get a replacement clip from Spyderco for that folder. They use it on their Salt line and others like the Native so its readily available.
I'd suggest going that route. Get one of the Salt 1, Atlantic, or Pacific Salt knives clips and it will be titanium.

I have an endura 3 with a molded clip that i broke off also. how will a barrel clip work?
 
Oh my bad. Thanks Theo. I missed what he said about the plastic clip entirely.

Geez. Man I need to wake up here. That can be cut off where it broke and a new clip can be screwed down in that flat spot. I've done that.

Its by threading the FRN handle though. I completely missed what you wrote until Theo's post. My fault there. That can be fixed and I do apologize.

As with all the FRN threading and G10, or Carbon Fiber, Micarta threading I warn everyone that it works so long as you follow three simple rules.

1) never overtighten the screws
2) never use loctite or superglue in the holes. It weakens the threads and if the glue is strong enough it can rip the threads right out first time you back a screw out after that or at the least severely weaken their hold
3) don't make a habit of taking the clip on and off a lot. Just leave it on there and check the screws now and then for snug. Thats all you need to do and these work. I've done them 12 and more years back and they still work fine.

Thanks Steve I planned to hit you up about that exact thing. I had already talked to the company store but I was wanting that coolness factor to go along with my prySTR. I will send it too with the information sheet next week if that works for you. Thanks Chickenplucker
 
Hi Boys. That knife is worth having a new clip put back on it! I gave mine to a friend and he tells me it is still his favorite folder!
