Keep a good sharp edge on your knife boys .

Keep a good sharp edge on your knife .

Cause there aint no hedge like a good sharp edge,

against the unknown vagaries of life .

Country music , you gotta love it . This is a bit of a song I heard on A:M: radio while driving along . It sounded a little like Hank Williams . Its proabably a little low brow for some peoples tastes here . I would appreciate anyone who had access to a better search engine than me and better computer skills to give me the title and the rest of the words . I typed it in several ways and came up with zilch .

Tedwca thanks .

Hmmm so its not that old a song then unless its a remake . Lund does have a droll outlook on life which is evident in some of his music . I like his song about all the pick-ups getting stuck in the mud .

"...half heard voices from the ghosts, from the graves
the grandfathers tell us at the mouths of caves
only old chiefs older than jesus can save us now, if were lucky

white man light a big fire, stay cold
the red man's warmer, but the old man's old
the antelope seeks the buffalo in the night

the antelope mourns the buffalo in the night"

from Corb Lund, The Truth Comes Out

Dang . Sometimes when I see a younger singer it is hard to realise they may have lived a life already . I guess that is just a sign of me getting older .
