Hey man - sorry it took a little longer - I am getting through the backlog - slowly but surely.

The blade has a few blemishes in it that are from wet forming - they will buff out very easily - but I did not want to be the first to buff / sharpen it. I oiled it and packaged it seperatly.

Your work has really come of age my freind. That is a beautiful sheath.

They are getting there Andy.

I learned a few tricks of the trade this week that I will be employing in my sheaths from now on that should make the edging and the like top notch.

Have you watched the Burrow's video yet? I watched it today and it was quite inspiring. I'm going to try my hand at making a sheath, now. I have no doubt it'll turn out just like one of Chuck's.

 :o :foot:

What trick are you referring to? Or are they guild secrets?

That is what I am referring to. Mostly on edging. The kind of sheaths I make (with the extreme wet forming) does not lend to making them the way Chuck does - but the edging he does really made me realize that I don't edge as well as I could.

I'm 100% sold on edgekote. I sand to 220 and edgekote. Its just too practical, and after doing and using a couple, I quit burnishing totaly.

The stitching on the back is perfect bro. Thats how you can tell a good sheathmaker IMO. Nice job.
