My weak google-fu says "commando" model
approx. 5" blade
Anyone have the skinny on this one? Vintage, model etc?
Missing about half of one of the leather washers.
Thought I might do a little repair job and get a sheath made for it.
Nice size for a camp knife.

That is exactly what I have been looking for! I even thought about cutting a 7 inch Kabar down to 5 inches maintaining the same Bowie shape. She is a beaut!!!
Wish I had info for ya. Good luck.

Commando's like the one posted were made with 6 inch blades.
there are very similar knives with 5 inch blades that were made for the Navy and Air Force between 1953 to 1957. They are commonly called "pilots knives". The company names stamped on the pilots knives were Camillus, Imperial, and Schrade Walden.

This one is a little over 5" actually, probably lost a little off the tip.
Guessing it was 6" originally.
