two nights ago this pic was captured by a trail cam 15 miles west of my farm
ive tracked Mountain Lions behind the farm on several different occasions starting in the winter of '03, but ive never seen one in person.....yet.
THIS is why i pack a rifle when i go down to burn garbage....and now the BK9 will be with me as well

Looks like that one had a nice dinner, too.

There have been reports of them South of the areas I hunt, but I still carry something with some firepower when I'm out bow hunting or backpacking.

That is a great picture! I am also in Iowa just more central (Story County) and I don't think we have ever even had a Mountain Lion spotting in this county! Might be time to add the BK4 to your collection!

Be safe!

They've sited lions in my area too. This was taken by my trail cam this morning.

I would like to point out that is the least ferocious looking mascot costume I have seen in a while...

Oh I agree, preparation is key. That and situational awareness, regardless of the situation.

 That thread is from 2005.

Still, 2005, or not. It's not like mountain lions don't exist. Always a good idea to be prepared if you know they might be around.

i removed the photo until the mess can be cleared up. im not sure if someone is pulling my leg, or they sent the wrong pic.
and yes, theyre everywhere around here but youd never know it.....

ok fellas i apologize for the misrepresenting, and posting a bs pic.
it was sent to me via email by a fella who for whatever reason keeps trying to get me to loan him a rifle. i was by no means trying to mislead anyone with a bs thread.
we do have mountain lions here, years ago i tracked one(never caught up with it) from where i burn my garbage, and thats 200 yards from my back door.
again, i apologize, i feel like an ass, and i lost alotta respect for the jackass who sent me the pic. he WILL NOT get one of my guns, and i usually dont have a problem loaning one out.
