25-inch wood-handled sirupati by Sanu married to a custom quick-draw sheath by Terry Sisco, aka the late and lamented Sarki Shop. Plus a leather pouch-type sheath with shoulder strap for the karda and chakma, also Terry's work. If you haven't seen Terry's work, it will really open your eyes.

I don't have pix, but if you click on the search button and scan the HI Forum using the key words "Sanu Sisco perfect rig" you'll see Uncle Bill's description when he originally put it up for sale as an UBDOTD. There were pix with that thread, but I can't get them to come up anymore.

As Bill said, this truly is a perfect rig. I'd like to see it to have a better home, as I find it's just too big for my arm strength. All it's ever cut is air, and very little of that because I find I just don't take it out much as it reminds me of my meager upper body strength.

The price is $125--same as when it was an UBDOTD last year. Now that Terry has retired, there won't be many shots at a quick-draw sheath.

Mail call.

A bit bigger then I want, but gives me an excuse to buy a second one :)

What an amazing deal. What a blade and rig. I can always expect the very best to show when I have no money. This seems to be a regular feature around HI forum; when members sell, they sell fair and sell well.

Eich, when you get it can you post pics of the scabbard(s)? Looking for ideas on sheath design...

Dont know if its mine yet. Wating for e-mail to say its mine. Hope someone didnt beat me to it.

I am getting rather good with my camera. So you can bet there will be pictures galore!

the rig is gone, having been claimed first by Spencer.

I'm biased, but I do think it was a rare deal. Just once in life I wanted to know what it must feel like to be Uncle Bill and announce a UBDOTD.

Felt pretty darn good, actually.

Eich:

I was lucky.

25" is a lot of steel. If I don't think I can handle this one, even after some work, I'm willing to give you dibs should I decide to sell.

Tom, how has your 25" Siru worked so far?

Shucks

Good score spence!!
If you get tired of it I will take it!
