Yesterday, right before i was about to go fishing with a buddy and my girlfriend, i had to get to the other side of the car to move the one behind me in my driveway. So i put my hands on the hood of one and trunk of the other and hopped over (the cars were inches apart so i wasnt walking through) and my sheath flew up, landed on the trunk of the car and my ribs pushed the knife through the bottom of the sheath. It didnt scratch the car but did cut a good portion of the sheath. Good thing i had some extra waxed linen on hand! Sewed it up and it's fine. I didn't carry it while fishing and felt naked though. Had to throw my old Kershaw wildcar ridge on my belt. Any of you resew your sheathes before?

i've made a few sheaths, but never resewn one.

only problem was that when i made 'em almost 30 years ago i didn't know about welting a sheath. now i do, and at some point i need to look into some new leather working gear and perhaps some kydex working gear as well. gotta reorganize the garage first tho.

unfortunately, one of the knives i made a sheath for was stolen in HS. :(

I can do it, it's more so the fact that i don't know if he sewed the belt loop, then the strap then sewed the actual sheath up, or how he did that.

Strap, loop, sheath, in that order. If you want to send it back for me to do it, include $5 for return shipping.
