Opinel closed lock date?

I recently purchased a couple of Opinel #8 folders, one handled in oak, one in walnut. I also have a #9 that I picked up in Whitehorse YK in 2003. These three knives have a notch in the ring lock to hold the knife closed.

I have an older #8 without this feature. I'm guessing this one was acquired in 1970's.

Does anyone know when Opinel introduced the "lock closed feature?"

Thanks.

I have both #8 & 9 that were purchased in late 70's that have the locking function.
