I'm looking at picking up a JD Smith, any opinions on this one good, bad or otherwise?

Tried doing a search but did not yield much.

Thanks!

I love the design. The knife didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped. The action was way too tight and i could never get it to loosen up, it was not easy to access the opening hole and the lack of liners made the knife "feel" less than sturdy, IMO. I remember reading where Sal is looking at redoing the knife with several improvements. You may want to check out Spydercos own forum for info.

Thanks for the reply Dirk. :D

I am looking for a larger midsize to add to my Spyderco line and almost bought this today. Based on your post I'll pass on it.

No one, nowhere that I have read has mentioned that it did not have liners, I like a little more girth than that.

IMO, the only thing worse than not buying a knife is buying the wrong knife :)
