Recieved my orange monster several weeks ago and love it...but it seems to gain 2-3 minutes over the course of a week. Anyone else having the same problem? Didn't expect precision accuracy, but 3 minutes in 7 days seems a bit excessive. :grumpy:

Yes. That's a little excessive. Mine gains about 7 or 8 seconds per day, wearing it 24/7.

That's actually a very typical number for a 7S26 movement.

Monsters tend to come from the factory at +15 or 20 seconds a day, so that would put you at +140 for a week or... +2 minutes and twenty seconds.

Getting a Monster at +7 seconds a day is good fortune. I had an e-mail discussion with Bill Yao about this very subject, and even his shop doesn't send them out regulated that tight.

The good news is that you can regulate it yourself fairly easily.

Yes it is easily regulated but it might be better to give it a period to run in prior to adjustment. I had a seiko 5 which uses the 7S26mvt and when i first got it it ran quite fast, 3 min in 5 days. after about a month of wear it had dropped to about 7 seconds a day so don't be too upset. good luck, ahgar

My black monster gains about 17 seconds per day.
It was rather difficult getting used to the time gain after wearing a quartz for so long.
But now, I have learned to "not sweat the seconds" and it has actually made me a more relaxed person.
I just adjust it once it gets to be about five minutes fast.

I could probably even wear a watch without a seconds hand, and it would'nt bother me at all.

Some Monsters don' t "break in" even after a few months. I have found that the ones I' ve seen all run fast. If you need to have best accuracy, take it to a watchmaker to have it regulated.

Thanks all, was getting a bit worried about it. I'll give it a few more months and then have regulated if need be. I still dig my monster....guess that's the price you pay for such a cool watch.

Hi All-

With an automatic wristwatch running fast the worst-case scenario is that one will be a few minutes early for an important business appointment, a train departure, a meeting with one's boss, or a hot date.
