I received a request for a Wharnie for him to use while at work. He wanted something he could beat up so here is what I came up with.

Looks like it should hold fine, although I'm not sure what he means by "beat up".

You really posted this just to tease me, didn't you, go ahead admit it.

LMAO! Yes I did Wayne. I believe he is in construction or contracting so he will use the knife at job sites cutting carpet, wood, hell everything I guess. BTW, Im sending some wood out this week for stabilization and will be putting yours in there. I think its dry enough for stabilization, just not enough on its own.

Awesome knife

love the design...reminds me of the old sheepsfoot sailors knife, just add sheath with marlinspike and head for the high seas!

I have been working for the same property management company for the last 18 years, (180 units). My work includes putting in windows, doors, sinks, faucets, toilets, flooring (tile, vinyl, laminate) and jobs as needed. I come into contact with a variety of tenants from welfare to doctors and need a knife that will hold an edge through a day cutting open packaging to removing excess expanding foam around windows and doors and what ever else I need cut. My knife is NOT a pry bar or a screw driver. I have a wide selection of customs from O'Neill, Eddie White, Billscustom knives, Peter R, etc. and am always willing to try new makers in search of the next best and greatest blade. This is going to start going to work with me as soon as I get it so no safe queen. It was a real pleasure giving Chris the things I wanted in a work knife, now lets see what he came up with. Thanks again Chris you really had on your listening ears on when I gave you the requirements of what it will be used for. Martin

Being the proud owner of 3 KFU knives, I can say you will be pleasently surprised with your new knife. Chris likes his knives to
be used and makes them with that in mind.

I like it -- as an occasional woodworker, I can see a lot of utility in that pattern.

It will be going out tomorrow Martin, and let me know how you like it please. Thanks again!

Great knife!

And back in the 70's, me & B'rer Bill ate one of those 'shrooms KFU has the knife posed on.

Damn Gnarly, I was just sitting here wondering if that was what that was . . . . .
I haven't seen one like that in 20-25 years . . . . God I have lived and worked in the subburbs waaaaaaaay too long . . . .
Oh but the memories of the 60's & 70's that I can remember . . . . . ;)
KFU, great looking blade, that shape seems like it would allow a lot of down force when cutting wiring or having to score something to break it.
Martin, great knife buddy, hope you enjoy it.
Be safe.

Got it Wed and this thing is sharp. Thinned down the scales a little and put in a small swell in the middle and it is ready to rock and roll. Many thanks Chris.

Man, that looks good! Soak it in some BLO thinned with turpentine or mineral spirits, or rub some tung oil or tru oil on it. Looks really good Martin and thanks again.

Chris, you have an amazing talent to make something that is brand new look like something Abe Lincoln used on his farm . . . . . ;)
Excellent looking knife once again, they just keep a comin'.
Nice work buddy.
Be safe.
p.s.: . . . . how are you with applying this talent to baseball cards ??? ??? :D
