This knife purchase was supposed to be a Spyderco Endura (Sorry, sorry!). But when I ordered, I found a Piston in my cart instead. Ooops! I really wasn't planning to buy the Piston yet, but I found a good deal on it. Not sure how I will feel about the lack of liners, but at least the handle is G-10. Eagerly awaiting my next shipment!

Fortunately, I was not drunk this morning. The Endura went up in price while the Piston got cheaper.

Also, have you been pleasantly surprised by some of your unplanned purchases.

I've been EDC'ing the Piston for the past few days, and I really like it so far. It's really Skyline-like in it's thinness and lightness. The G-10 flexes a bit when gripped hard, but he lockup doesn't change a bit. Also, when I first got it, the opening speed was a bit on the sluggish side, but it has broken in nicely after a couple hundred opening/closing cycles. I even think it was worth the inflated price that I paid from that big-box ourdoors store that starts with "C"...

I just wanted to be sure. 'Cause what ever a "Sparpmaker" was, it sounded COOL!

The G10 with no liners is really my only concern with the Piston because I prefer liners. It is also really odd for me to buy a knife without a lot of thought. I will spend weeks looking up review and watching videos before making a purchase. Somewhat circumvented in that I found almost nothing about this knife.

Fun fact: the knife shipped today! From within my own state! (Did not expect that.) And went to another state to be sorted and shipped back to my state! Woo! I love package delivery sevices.
