OT: Next door neighbors are fun

:D :D :D

That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time!!

I think its time to go and kiss MY neighbors for being nothing like JD8!:D

And I thought my neighbor was bad!!

If they lived by me I don't think I could help but pay them a visit with my SIG 229!

Scary thing is, I KNOW people like JD8!!!

I do, too AC.

The scary thing is that one of these types decided at one point that I would make a good son-in-law (I dread to even think why). So, when he wasn't being arrested for assault or terrifying the neighborhood with his pit bull (not kidding here) he was busy trying to get me to hook-up with his daughter. And I mean that in the Biblical sense.

I still shudder today.

Reminds me of a saying I heard a lot while growing up in Africa"

"You can take a monkey out of the jungle but you can never take the jungle out of the monkey!"

By the way how do you know an Hammish move to redneck country?

Because there is a horse buggy on cinder blocks in front of the house!:D

OK Guys, take it easy on ole' JD8... I live in Alabama, and, in the rural areas, he would fit right in! The funniest thing that I have come across yet, though is a "home" about 2 miles from mine. They started out with a single-wide trailer (uh, sorry, mobiiile home), but ran out of room. They proceeded to "add a wing" to their home by putting another single wide perpendicular to the first, thus forming a "T". The paint scheme is a beautiful white with a green stripe! I'll try to get some pics up if I get the chance.

My parents used to have normal neighbors...then the family just like JD8 moved in.
They have pink flamingos in an un-mowed lawn, a vollyball net on their walkway up to their house with chrismas lights on it, the vollyball net is held up by 2 tires filled with concrete. Their back yard has I think 6-7 different types of trees planted here and there, as well as one of those 'do it yourself' treehouses that has been 1/2 built for the past few years. (Remember that this is your normal suburban house with a small back yard) My parents just have enough room for their one 20 yr old Oak in their back yard.

The only thing that keeps their 5 kids at bay (the 4 oldest boys, remember that un attended lawn  ) is my parents German Shepard and Springer Spaniel. Both of'em would lick a person to death, but they look pretty scary when they want attention. ;)
