A big public thank you to Pendentive for the avatar and the walkthrough on how to get it up. You are the man, Dan.

You are indeed welcome. Glad to see you got it loaded ok.

What kind of bird is that?

I don't know much about birds, so I'd have to guess it's a chicken. :D

pheasant? - the real question is, can it make its own tools out of bits of wire? ;)

It's a ....

I think I'll let Bobwhite answer this one...hint, hint, hint...;)

Alright, here it goes. The bobwhite is a quail and game bird of North America. My name is Bob and my wife kept her last name of White. So when people meet me through her, they think I am Bob White, intead of my real last name. The bobwhite is also a largeish bird characterized by a stocky appearance, and if you ever meet me in person, then you will see a resemblance. My wife and I saw a bobwhite at a zoo once and she teased me about the call that the bobwhite makes. It sounds like it is saying 'bobWHITE'. There is the whole story and the sum of my knowlegde of the bobwhite quail. It does sort of look like a chicken and that would be an equally appropriate bird to represent me.

Every name and pic has a story dunnit? And I just thought your name was Robert White. Just another fan of the mighty chicken. :D :)

Beoram, I was in a fraternity called Alpha Chi Rho in college. We were known as "the Crows" and that was our mascot. You should have seen some of the interesting improvised tools, for various purposes that are to incrimating to get into here, we came up with. No one gave us any credit for having brains either (see comment about incriminating activities). What is all this with bird connections in my life? It is sort of ominous...;) . I like birds as much as the next person but the coinicidences are getting weird.

I like gamefowl! Good Avatar, Bob.

Beoram: Yeah, those crows are smart.

"interesting improvised tools, for various purposes that are to incrimating..." Hee Hee! I know of what you speak. THose were the dayze.

:D

'crows' from Alpha Chi Rho?

Yeah the alpha got lost somwhere where when they made the nickname. I never said it made sense. In addition most guys would use the english, not the greek pronunciation of the letters. So we were also Ay Ex Pee (AXP) instead of Alpha Chi Rho (AXP). Like I said, we were up to a lot of stuff we shouldn't have been.;)
