I've just received a new Blackberry Storm and need a decent shell for it. I am looking at the Otterbox Defender. The Defender for the Storm is to make it's debut in Canada next week, I am unsure how long it's been around in the USA. It looks very similar to the Defender for the Iphone/Ipod. Has anyone any experience with this model?

Holy hell. Just found this the other night cruising the site at KAC. I can't wait to try it out. KAC has a ballistic software package you can put on your iPhone or Ipod Touch...slap on the Otterbox...got yourself a nice little BORS system for a fraction of the cost. I'm waiting for the KAC junkies at the range...I just can't see an Ipod handling the recoil. Still cool as hell though.

I have the Defender case for my 3G iPhone I like it very much. It is a tough case that really dose its job. The only draw back is that it is bulky.

And again..:D I've got the Defender for my BB Pearl 8130, and it's easily the best cell case I've had in 12 years of owning cellphones. The holster is secure with a good CLICK when the phone is seated properly. Bulky isn't an issue if you're counterbalancing the phone with a Leatherman Surge on the other side. ;)

Just a follow-up to this.

I picked up the Otterbox Defender Case for my Blackberry Storm and absolutely love it. It includes a built-in screen protector, hard plastic shell, and a silicon rubber shell that slips over the hard plastic. I was worried that I would loose some "touch" sensitivity with the screen protector, I haven't noticed anything other than it's a little less sensitive to light up the bottom row of characters when typing, but it's only a small loss of sensitivity. It's quite sturdy, and I am no longer worried about scratching it up. It increases the bulk of the unit, but not by much, it still slips easily in the chest pocket of my t-shirt where I normally carry it.

Overall worth the extra expense to effectively protect your relatively large investment; highly recommended :thumbup:
