Man, oh, man. I got my new PE S30V Native from NGK a couple days back and snickered to myself when I saw the cute, little band-aid dispenser that they throw in.

Well, I just found out that the blade on this Native's a bit looser than it's CPM440 brother. I'm used to gripping the 440 while I release the lock so I can give it a "starter" nudge b/c the blade is a little tight. So, I'm watching TV and pick up the wrong knife and flick it open, and then closed... right on to my friggin NUCKLE!  Took a bit to realize what had happened b/c I haven't cut myself in 4-5 years!

I just felt a little sheepish as I reached over for my NGK band-aid dispenser. :D

One of our knife-sharpening guys here at work had to get two stitches in his finger today. Just wanted to share your pain.

When I close my Delica, I put my index finger at the top of the handle, press the lock with my thumb, and swing the knife down. The blade tang is stopped by my finger but now the knife can be closed one handed. I'm so used to doing this that recently I disengaged my BM 550's axis lock and out of habit swung down. That blade has no tang. Just a little cut but it bled fairly well.
