First off, about the downtime... here's what happened:

I had to leave town on Wed morning because of a family emergency. Friday, the BladeForums.com webserver developed a problem with it's RAID controller and I didn't find out until that evening. Long story short, we couldn't get replacement parts until today and we're back up and running.

In other news, I'm sick of this place and you filthy parasitic deadbeats who continually whine and bitch and complain about this site and how it's run. Screw you & build something better yourself. After tomorrow, only paying members will be able to post here - if you don't pay, you don't get to play. Also, Gold members will be limited to 2 posts a day, and Premiums must submit their postings 2 days before they will go on the site. Basic members will be able to read the forum, but unregistered members will not. For sale posts will be limited to 1 a day - excess posts will cost $5 each. So, in the words of Sean Connery - Suck it Trebeck.
 
Just kidding! Got ya though. You guys sent hundreds of emails and dozens of phone calls supporting the site and hoping for our quick return, and I appreciate your patience & understanding with the outage. Welcome back!

In other news, vB 3.0 is due out shortly with new features. Hopefully this won't happen again - I don't need the additional stress.
 
Everyone is not rich like you spark . I will be paying very soon thou cause it is a great site ! Just have to get some extra cash .

Thanks for the well wishes, unfortunately all was not well and it's been a very sad time for us. I'm a private guy and don't like to post about my personal life, but I appreciate the concern none-the-less.

Everyone seemed as confused as a baby in a topless bar...:eek:

And yes...your post caught me, as I can sympathize with contending with all sorts of personalities from my own work, not always easy to let that water roll off your back, good to see you still have that sense of humour!
And I hope things sort themselves out with the family issues...

Don't woory about us. Tess will patch up the holes in the wall where my head kept going through. I didn't realize it but, I think I get half my oxygen supply from the Forum.:D

Kevin...As I mentioned before, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and I am sorry for the grief you and your family are going through, as I have been through it many times myself. Time will heal.

Spark, thanks for all the effort you put into making BladeForums the great community that it is. I had heard earlier that you had had a family emergency; sorry to hear that it was so serious.
