I guess I'm the same as most in that my latest knife is usually my favourite, be that as it may there is one knife that I always keep close at hand and never pack away with my little used knives. This knife is one that I always come back to and is one that would never let me down....my JK Hiker XL !
After lots of use and abuse it was looking a little sorry for itself so I decided to give it a bit of clean and touched up the edge:
I chopped up some fatwood and made a rough looking torch with the addition of some pinecones and resin, note the little fatwood curls, they will be what catches the spark:
3 strikes later:
Maisy decided to see what she could find in the sea:
Being carefull who she got close to of course !
