I guess I'm the same as most in that my latest knife is usually my favourite, be that as it may there is one knife that I always keep close at hand and never pack away with my little used knives. This knife is one that I always come back to and is one that would never let me down....my JK Hiker XL !

After lots of use and abuse it was looking a little sorry for itself so I decided to give it a bit of clean and touched up the edge:

I chopped up some fatwood and made a rough looking torch with the addition of some pinecones and resin, note the little fatwood curls, they will be what catches the spark:

Hey Pit Dog, makes me want to go to the river right now! Where are the photos from? If I can ever discover how to post a photo, I'll send some photos.

Hi pitdog -

Sweet pics - thanks!

Do you see a lot of jellies up there?

Dan - the easiest way to get pictures posted is to use picasa - it is a free google service.

http://picasaweb.google.com

Once you sign up with picasa, and install the program on your pc, all you have to do is right-click on the photo on your pc, then click the "quick upload" option and picasa does the rest, even opening the file up in your browser and giving you the web address to post into your threads here.

best regards -

Thanks, I will give it a try tonight at home. Actually, Pitdog, I meant what part of the country are you in for the photos.
