Decided to make a simple no knife spring snare while I was out today.
This would work a lot better with snare wire but I hadn't planned on making one so just had the cordage that was with my knife !
Anyway this is all ya really need:
Managed to rig it up with minimal disruption from the dogs this time !
A close up of the trigger( If ya have a knife this can be shaved down to make it as sensitive as you want):
Today I had with me my two most used knives, for some reason I nearly always gravitate towards these two ! This might change in May though as I'm having two more knives made in these size ranges so they will have some serious competition !
Check out the delicate fuzzy that the ML made...
I had used the JK Hiker to pry apart the fatwood stump !
Tried to resist lighting it but the temptation was too great !
We passsed a lily pond on the trail:
