Taking the boy out for our first (yes i know...dont stone me) father/son camping adventure. I am so pumped it is taking alot to just type this! Ill make sure to post some pix in this thread. We will be heading to the farmstead in Outlaw Country tomorrow after he gets out of school. Since this is my land and i have yet to get a smaller tent, we will be carting stuff in by H3. Gonna pitch a big ol 6 man tent, make a fire, use my new German Army Mess Kit for ramen (thanks Dryad) and the ALICE pack (thanks Upthecreek) will be stuffed full of coolness! I am making a list and im glad we are car camping! I tend to over do it hehe. Breakfast the following morning will be my special bfast (bacon, eggs, bannock (thanks Bowguy) )... Should be quite fun. Ill take some pix...

Im like a 10 year old on Christmas morning

Had a pretty fun night. My best friends and parents showed up and we all set around and chatted by the fire. Ended up going to bed at about 2am, then woke up, made some bannock and broke camp.

That is awesome. You guys will never forget stuff like that.

And the old washing machine tub is pretty brilliant.

Very cool. Caden looks like the proverbial "happy camper".

Good times!

When I was a kid I think I got more excited over a camping trip than I did Christmas!

I have fond memories of my dad and i camping and i am only returning the favor :)

I'm saying the same thing, Caden looks like one happy camper to me! Looks like a great one nighter! I would have killed to have an experience like that with my Dad! You can tell just by looking at his face and the way he sports that knife that he is proud of it. That one is a good one to be proud of too! Looks like he did well in the large mouth department too! Now what more could a person want? The wash tub was genius! Great pics too, nice job!

He's become quite the lil angler this past year. The fishing gods smile on him for sure :)

I know he can keep us in supper if need be

Looks like he enjoyed himself. I think the younger you are the better you fish...I know it is true for me.

You can tell by the smiles that you both had a great time, priceless doesn't really come close to what times like that
really are. I love camping with my son and get even more excited about our future adventures. I am sure you guys
both have many fish yet to catch together.

Some of my best memories are camping with my family, looks like you made some for your boy that day:thumbup:
