Owyhee?

As many know, I have been searching for a good all around utility knife. I had/have my heart set on a Dozier K-4 but don't want to wait. So, I may get something different for now (this summer) and get a Dozier later.

Does anyone have any experience with the Scott Cook Owyhee? I have large hands, does this fit well in a large hand?

Thanks,

Dave

I have had the Large Scott Cook for about 6 months. Sharpest fixed blade in my collection. Fit..finish...blade grind all first class....service excellent, only had about an 6-8 week wait.
It's not a Busse though, and the handle may be a little slim for rally nig hands..but it is an excellent design.
As a general purpose skinner..cooking...utility blade it is excellent, which is what I believe Scott designed.
For an all around survival-fighting pry bar-knife...you'd be better off getting something more of a "beater".
I wouldn't trade it for what I use it for, but I wouldn't trade my Steel Heart, Gerber Command II, or Camillus Air Force Survival blades either.

Go for it...you'll love it, and use it....but may find it a little on the small side. What more can be said.

Where can I see a pic of an "Owyhee"?
Knifeart shows 3 of Cook's hunters but nothing id'd as an Owyhee.
Thanks
