Please advice,

I have:
combo edge Delica,
lady bug
BM Griptilian - plain edge,

which should I get next?
-plain edge Para
-serrated Para
-COmbo edge ocelot

it's for overall all use. EDC(mostly office stuff, envelops, snacks)
mountain biking (opening snacks, cutting branches)

I really like the Ocelot. The only thing the Para Military has going for it that makes me like it better is the fact that it is made here in the USA. The Ocelot is a great user, very thin and easy to carry. It to me is tough to beat even as a letter opener.

The Ocelots look pretty cool! I have looked at a couple of them, nice size for every day carry. I like the blade, has a little belly to it, and a nice finger choil too.

I've had a Para for a couple of weeks now, and just a few days ago picked up an Ocelot.

Both are fantastic knives, you can't go wrong with either. I'd really have to say it comes down to personal taste with the differences in blade styles. If I had to pick only one of the two, I'm really not sure which I'd go with...

I think that the Ocelot would be more office friendly to non knifers, and it has gotten great reviews. The Para is all business and a little less hefty. Both are good choices.

I like the para a ton. I really love the compression lock, and I really like the ergonomics. I'm recommending the para.

I'm opposite of Artfully Martial--I hate the Compression-lock.
I would choose nearly any Spyderco lock-back over a knife with the Compression-lock.

So my advise is to try out a Compression-lock Spyderco folder before deciding.

I vote for the Ocelot.

Good luck,
Allen.

I love the lines on the Ocelot, and the little gold accents just put over the top in being an outright good looking knife.

I've had some issues small issues with the Para and just sold it, but you really can't go wrong with a high end lock back.

I say Ocelot.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I sure like the ocelot but the combo edge gets me to reconsider a bit.

The para is available at straight edge, but even at 3 inches, I might run into trouble here at the office.

There is a Salt that is available at Plain edge, with thicker tip than the Delica. Would that be a better addition to my current set than the ocelot?

additional infor, right now it is Lady bug that is with me in the office. during the weekends, I EDC the Griptilian. However , at 3.4- inches, I am a bit uncomfortable carrying the grip all the time as I get some bad looks from other people(you call them sheeple here in the forum) when I bring it out for use.

That is why I'm looking at the ocelot more than the para, for the seemingly more friendly look of the blade on the ocelet.

however, the combo edge that in available adds to it's menacing look so I tend towards carrying staight edge models ( salt)..

what do you guys think?

J8, fcondron,

I'm from the southeast asia, what's readily available is what is in the shop.
Not much choice for us here.

I wonder if you could contact a nice online store like Newgraham and ask them to ship over seas to you. You should email tham and ask.

Sorry to hear about your limitations.
