OK, I was going to sell a sebenza and donate the proceeds to Craig at the LED museum. Then I wondered if people would donate $20 to Craig, to participate in a Pass around Sebenza.

So here is the deal, would 10 people or so be interested in try a large sebenza for a week and send the $20 to Craig?

The rest of the requirements would be: US addresses only, Proper minimum age (21), willing to send it insured to the next person in line, willing to fill out paperwork if lost in shipping, not do anything like bend the lock bar because it doesn't suit you, and willing to replace it if you loose it while it's in you possesion?

Well let me know!

I would be interested but if you specify US addresses only then this Canuck is out of luck.

Some day I will actually get to see/touch/feel/handle a Sebby but I will keep waiting.

My suggestion for the passaround though would be to ship the knife to the next person and carry insuance on it. Yes, it would cost a few bucks but it would be quicker and safer than mailing it.

Its not a problem, I can understand your concerns. Getting US and Canadian Customs involved is always a gamble.

I want in for it. Been thinking of getting one of them. This will let me try it out, compare it to my Apogee and TNT.

I have 3 so far (two in email). I'll probably
leave this up through Monday to see if we get 10 people.

Thanks,

Iam in Dave! I dont mind giving a little to help out.I would like to be last in line if possible, check it out before it goes back to you.
I did the original mods to this knife, would like to see it after all this time.I might have a pic of the actual knife still.I would be interested if your going to sell it too.
Thanks!
Matt

Guess I just missed the cut, Dave. No biggie, but if someone cancels, you can count me in. Thanks

Sorry shivey. Maybe next time.

OK here's the tentative ordering by state:

1 - Indiana
2 - Wisconsin
3 - Calif1
4 - Calif2

Clint, I sent you an email that bounced, I had a few questions, I'll try and send again.

Pontiaker - No longer have your address, email incoming.

I have a test to study for so it may be a couple of days before I get it sent out. I'll include address tags for the next person in line as well as addressed stamped envelopes for you to send to Craig with your $20.

Thanks,

Sorry I missed out on the signup for the Sebenza pass around. The LED museum is certainly a good cause.

Here we go:

Have had the Sebenza for about a day.
I like some things about it, and there are others that I dont.

Good:
The blade- comes with one of the best edges on it, is a very good steel
The lockup- from one of the main inovators of the integral lock, I would expect no less, but this thing has one of the most secure lockups without going to a fixed blade.
The grip- the handle does provide a good grip.
The closed position- The blade takes a little more pressure to open, but this is good as the sebenza is configured for tip up in pocket carry. I do NOT see this opening in my pocket at all.

Bad:
Handle comfort- this one has been customized for more comfort, but it still does not compare to wither my TNT or Apogee.

A little good/bad:
The thumbstud- provides a good purchase for opening the knife, but is too pointy for me. digs in a little.

Overall:
A good purchase if you want to go a step above the average production knife. The quality will impress you. But is still very much just that- a production knife. If you want even higher quality and customization, go custom. And as much as some complain about the price, it si not as high as a true custom. So if you ahve been thinking about a Sebenza, tote one for awhile and you will know if you want a custom or are happy with production knives.
