I received this little vintage Crawford over the weekend & just had to share.
The double edged 2 1/2" blade is mirror polished & razor sharp with a vorpal taper ending in a very acute point. It has ivory micarta scales, held in place by 5 stainless or NS pins, with dark red spacers between the scales and the 1/8" thick tang.
It is s/n 18 & was made in 1977 of 440C, the "hot" steel of the day. The brown leather sheath has a slim metal boot/belt clip and, according to Pat, "...has the wrap around snap holder so that the knife could be worn upside down."
Although I should probably simply add it to my collection, it is really too nice to just sit neglected in a drawer. I know it won't be an every day carry piece but, for now at least, it has made its way into the rotation.
