That’s me! I’m at 8 or 9 right now, and forcing myself to not find a reason to grab one or two that have been sitting on the list for a while.

Oh, and let’s not forget die-cast cars (40 or 50). Or firearms, or tools, or..... damn, no wonder my wife is always asking if I “really need another one of THOSE things”

Here is a PIF i would like to offer.
2 kabar stickers, 3 full size becker handles, 1 kabar patch and 1 pack of kabar playing cards.

This PIF is a set and must all go to one member. No splitting it up.

I've had Delicas and I've had Emersons.

I prefer the Delica by a long shot. No need to go down a rabbit hole.

If you want a righteous knife with the wave feature, grab a Southern Grind Bad Monkey. They're insane.

Gets me to thinking we should start one of these threads over in "Gadgets and Gear" in the Community forum.

I'm betting knife knuts could put together one hell of a gear swap meet.

The Delica I offered up here is VG-10.

Sorry, meant the Southern Grind. I like the look of them, but grimace a little at spending 250 on sandvik.

I got no issue with Southern Grind's price point with 14C28N, no issue with this steel choice at all.

And their carbon fiber, build quality and ergos are superb.

Safe to assume the wave adds a premium that requires going with the 14C28N instead of the S35VN in their other models? What is 14C28N similar to?

I had one for a little while the thing with sandvik is it's a very tough steep that gets underestimated bc it's cheap and pretty common.

Somebody smarter than me will have to tell us. I don't know what steel it resembles as far as material composition.

Easy to get really sharp though.

Not really sure but, I can tell you that it takes an amazing edge and it is not super expensive. As a budget steel, it is hard to beat.
    One of my favorites.

So think 12c27 with increased edge retention, VG-10 with increased toughness and corrosion resistance, or AEB-L with slightly increased edge retention and corrosion resistance. It will give you performance above AUS-8 but a little below N690, close to on par with VG-10 but easier to sharpen, tougher, and very corrosion resistant. Not a top tier steel unless you're looking for corrosion resistance and toughness, but it's far from trash.

I think Southern Grind does have a slightly better HT than Kershaw or Ruike with their 14c28n, so it should perform a little better than you usually see the steel do.

Tough as nails and easy to sharpen. One of my Garbergs is 14c and it's been fantastic.
