Yes I know it will void the warranty. If you have a quality knife you don't need one(have never had to send one back for defects). This is a simple knife but very strong.

I still have a problem with the small/low rise slide button (I have artritus),
and unlocking is a little dificult. It seems, there is too much writing on the blade, little is better.

I machined an aluminum slide, larger and with large jimping.

Sanded and tumbeled the blade, removed some of the writing.

Now, this is one frendly knife(for me), my knife.
 
Nice job. Making a good thing better for yourself through your own efforts is always satisfying.
