21 inches and 28 ounces. Another very good job by Kesar. He does ok on the standard stuff. Got the edge up near 60 Rc and overall execution excellent. You can't go wrong with this one. Nice karda & chakma. Usual top notch scabbard and frog in new leather by village sarki.

Very good deal at fifty off for price of $125 delivered to your door.

Call or email to get this winner.

SOOO Tempting, if it was in horn. I would have to get it. This HIKV is not funny.

I got one as a PGA in February. I work out with it every day. It does quite a number on Oregon grape and blackberry canes too.

As Uncle Bill said, definitely a winner.

I am working on a handle as I speak on a 18" GS. I can only imagine how awsome a 21" could be. The single massive fuller is very impressive, anyone who dosent recognise the power of the fuller could learn volumes from one like this. An excellet khukuri.

If only I could win the lottery. ;)

Brendan, a fuller is a forged, wide "groove", hammered into the blade where the "flat" would normally be. They can place these, and control their width and depth, to control the balance, make the blade lighter, and strengthen it, in the way that an "I" beam is lighter and stronger (Yvsa's very good comparison). There is a very good section in the FAQ, detailing the differences in "Eng Chirra, Dui Chirra and Tin Chirra" blades (one, two and three grooves). If they were ground-in, the blade would be lighter, but not necessarily stronger. Forged fullers pack the steel instead of removing it, even though less steel is in the final product (compared to a "flat" blade of the same size). Larry Harley made a stock-removal blade, which he posted on his site, with complicated grinds similar to the chirra, and said he had no intention of repeating that blade. Such is the skill of the kamis :)

Thanks for the great explanation Walosi, cleared it up perfectly fo rme. Makes sense, good comparison the I beam thing. What Khuks do you own ?

Well, prior to last week, I had amassed two Sirupatis (14 and 15") 18" GS, 16" WWII, Garud, 18" carved UBE, 19" UBE with extra fullers, 21" Chitlangi, BAS, Bura "Crazy Cho" BAS, "One Off" Bura Bowie, M43, Bura Puuko, JKM-1, 12" Sirupati and AK, and a 25" Kobra, 15" Villager....I'd have to go look to see if I missed one or two. Bad morning, only one cuppa so far.

This is Un-Frieking REAL!

This is unheard of! $50 off and going on almost 2 whole days?

I will not get it, I will not get it...

A wonderful work. must have caught everyone without money. It sure as hell isn't Kesar's fault. I hope back in Nepal there is no way to note length of time offered for sale. His stuff is coming in top notch. Isn't it?

munk

Brendan, I know personal preferences can be strong, but don't sell the wood handles short. the only thing they will do that the horn won't, is dent. Of course, the same thing that dents a Saatisal Oak handle might crack a horn handle. Both are exceptionally strong and attractive (but the wood can be made even prettier, without losing grip surface). The GS has a slightly longer handle (much more comfortable for me) and the circumference is just right.

And, as Bro said, it should be about 0405 Sunday where you are, so it's next week, already :D
