Here's a 18 inch 25 ounce WWII by Sanu. 10/10 work by Sanu. Blade file tested and fine. Only very minor problem is small area on the handle (pea size or smaller) has been filled with Sanu's home brewed epoxy wood filler. Also there seems to have been a very small burl on left side which Sanu stuck a piece of brass into and polished it smooth. Great khukuri style karda and chakma. Typical top notch scabbard and frog by village sarki.

Take it home for $95. Good rig at good price.

Call or email.

The woodchucks will get a charge out of this one. Uncle, you are right, the recent batches of khuks all seem to have burly, figured wood handles...

Thanks Uncle Bill. Gone to Texas. Birthday present for Dad, he is going to love this khukuri for his 68th Birthday.

This one does have a beautifully grained handle. I like Sanu's idea of using a piece of brass to fill a hole in the burl. Done nicely something like that can really add to the overall picture making it even more beautiful if that's even possible.:)

Sanu is a pretty innovative fellow. Takes after his Dad who is one of the richest kamis in Nepal.

Thanks guys, I had been planning to get him a khukuri and was having trouble deciding which one. This one is just about perfect. I really prefer the wood to the horn and I figure he would too. Size and shape are excellent. I will really look forward to seeing it next time I'm down in Texas.

I think he'll love it and it's good to see kids caring for Dad. I've given a couple of khukuris to my own Dad but he says they don't help much with his guitar making.
