15" and 22 ounces. Made by Bura and that says it all. Karda & chakma fine. Village sarki made scabbard and frog in new leather and that says it all for that part of the deal.

PGA price at 25% off is $93.75.

Good deal for fine knife.

Call or email.

PS: Spots on blade oil residue I didn't get wiped off well. Perfect finish.

Attention: anyone who does not have an AK would do well to snag this one up.

Is there anybody in the forum who does NOT won an AK? And this is the flagship model, no less, of Himalayan Imports!

Don't look at me. I'm poor now.

Keith the Impoverished.

..And I'm just a pauper right now. So let's get a king on the case! (or a case of Little Kings? Focus--too early still)

Keith

Keith, you sound just like I did a month ago. How well I relate. I'm still poor, but have learned to watch these incredible blades pass before my eyes. I'm waiting for funds and an 18" or even 20" AK to appear. I don't have a 15" but other blades I have do fine. You are right, guessing most here do have an AK already, if not several.

I might be the only forumite without an AK:(
But I have a BAS and it's close enough right?:)

Thanks, Munk.

My 18" Sher AK is the monster I like most! It was a blem, so i got it for a steal (steel?). I think Sher hammered two leaf springs together to make this bad boy. Fat blade, fat handle. I think Sher makes khuks in the shape and mass that he himself would use, because the Karda and chakma are like full-size working tools!

Like Munk, I'm just watching the river of steel as it whips by. Good training I guess, for keeping myself from buying all of them. I'll just have to wait until I have $$, then keep watching for that "special" one.

Keith, the temporarily impoverished

My Bura 15" BAS is the only khukuri I did not give a "test" to. This blade is too perfect. Don't pass on this beauty if you don't have a Bura or a 15" khukuri. It is one to admire and display.;)
You would love his work!
Sam

Abear, I'm with you, no AK here either, but I also have a BAS. I'm holding out for either an 18" AK or a Chiruwa version, though. At least that's my plan right now, I wasn't expecting to buy a GS last week either. :D

Those Gelbu Specials seem to have a way of jumping into your lap, don't they?

I actually had to shut down my computer and go for a walk to keep from buying the one that went up today.

so Punker learned wisdom in another thread...

What difference practically is there between a 15' AK weighing 22oz and a 15"BAS weighing 22oz? The tang on the AK I've read here is a little beefier...

I have a BAS. In a perfect world I'd own all these darn Khukuris and could put an end to the question: 'which is the best Ak?"

I too am pooling recources and waiting for the right time for a bigger Ak or something else...that other big chopper...or an m43..or ??

Beware the man with one Khukuri...he might know how to use it.
